This two hour workshop with Paula Passanisi, LCSW, RYT, Forrest Yoga, will focus on Hip Opening and Role Releasing. What happens when you open your hips and consciously let go of roles you play? You begin to feel more deeply connected to your internal sense of control, your Spirit. Paula guides you to breathe deeply and with awareness into hip opening poses, encouraging you to give yourself permission to release stagnant, stuck, and stale emotions. She helps you to recognize that all of our emotions are connected to the roles we play in our lives. In this workshop, Paula describes how the most visceral emotions often get attached to our sense of control which we hold in our hips, and she sets up a healing space for you to let them go, one by one, breath by breath. Throughout the workshop, Paula gives practical examples on how to begin to develop intelligence in your hips. For example, by slowing down your breath and focusing on the openings in your hips - you can start to feel the difference between your emotions of control and your sense of control. And as you do this, you learn to release the emotional roles you play for others which disconnect you in feeling from your senses. Let Paula inspire you to feel more deeply with your strong senses, so that you can begin to move and breathe in ways which help you to unplug from role-playing, and instead deepen your connection to the truth inside of you, your Spirit.
