Working With Animal Totems:
3 Hours. Working with Forrest Yoga, Shamanic Journeying & Shapeshifting to identify your connection to your spirit animal. Working with animal totems can be an incredibly therapeutic way to help create change in your life, process trauma, and heal from addiction. In this workshop you will be given tools to interpret messages from animals, whether in dreamtime or reality.
3 Hours. Developing a solid self-care routine can help reduce the effects of stress and improve the quality of life. Discover powerful benefits of caring for yourself, and see how much it can change your life. The self-care techniques we will teach you have been known to help lower blood pressure, relieve chronic pain, improve sleep, improve digestion, help with anger management, and boost immunity. Light yoga, talking circle, self-massage techniques, EFT, essential oil basics.
The Anatomy of Emotions:
3 hours. Where, Why, and What you store in your body, and how to release it through yoga, EFT, and basic bodywork. We all remember that first time we got into pigeon pose and tears mysteriously filled our eyes. In this workshop we will be introducing the basic concepts of how emotions become a part of our anatomy and the different ways that can affect us in our daily lives. We will teach you how to find freedom in your body by releasing what’s been stored. We will be demonstrating how to access these emotions through Forrest Yoga, release their patterns using EFT, and how to help others process their release with basic bodywork techniques. This workshop will be held in a sacred space, we’re asking you to come with an open heart to hold space for yourself and others.
Cultivating Shame Resilience:
3 hours. Exploring shame and vulnerability and how we relate to in our everyday life. We will be working together to build trust, connection and community within the yoga classroom, and how to carry it into our lives. This will include a talking circle, ceremony, and 90 minute Forrest Yoga asana practice and some extra surprises.
Harry Potter Yoga:
2 Hours. Dust off your wands and put on your capes, it’s time for Harry Potter Yoga with your ever humble Professor: Rosie Volcano! Have you ever wondered what a yoga class would be like…..AT HOGWARTS? When you arrive to class, you will be sorted into a Hogwarts house and placed in the great hall next to all your other housemates. After the sorting ceremony you will be led through a basic yoga class (no skills in yoga required!) with magical pose names. During class there will be Harry Potter Trivia, the house that get the most answers correct will win the house cup! We’ll also take a break from yoga to play a little “Quidditch”, extra point to the house that wins the game!There will also be a special prize for best costume, and a potluck social afterwards!
Unlocking the Shoulders:
3 Hours. Basic anatomy of the shoulders, muscle testing and how to heal your shoulder pain with Forrest Yoga and basic partnered bodywork. One-Day Yoga Bodyworkers Immersion:
Fresh off the most recent 10-day Yoga Bodyworkers Training in Newcastle, UK, Rosie and Kit are thrilled to share this magic with you! Based off a program designed by Forrest Yoga Guardians Jambo Truong and Brian Campbell, this One-Day immersion will give you a taste of the full training and some exciting new knowledge for those who have already attended. This immersion is perfect for those interested in incorporating more hands-on adjustments while teaching, and those looking to convert their students into private clients. This is also open to anyone curious about yoga and bodywork. You do not have to be a teacher or bodyworker to attend this training, you simply need to bring with you the desire to touch people and help them feel good. You can come for the full day or just the morning intensive.
